New Glass!

After a minor accident with the legendary 80-200 lens that has shot many live shows and had many musical talents within it's glass eye, we had to sadly say good-bye.

A call was made to our insurance company, which I guess in a way is almost like health insurance for our secondary bodies, eyes, and souls that live within our Nikon Family.

Thankfully our insurance company supplied us with the much needed funds to replace our former lens, with the upgraded new VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-200mm

LOVE this new lens!
With the more slender feel, it feels so much better in your hand, and the vr will help stop camera shake. Also a much faster focus than the old one. It's a complete work of art!
Watch for new photos to follow taken with this beauty!

Brandon "Tuna" Promo

We had our first show this past Valentine's Day since before Christmas! It felt good to finally be back to the music and friends we love so very very much!
It was a great show with, City Sleeps, The Underwater, and Jealousy Curve

Our friend Brandon, asked us to join him for a great night of music at Jaxx in VA.
Brandon, originally from the VA area is now living his dream!
He is currently touring with the Band
"City Sleeps" as their tour manager.

We had talked to Brandon before about doing a promo shot, he's such a cool looking guy....
as you can see from the photo ;)
He most deff. needed his very own promo photo.
We were able to do a quick promo shot for him at the show.
As you can see it turned out amazing.
Don't let the photo fool you, even though he looks hard core.......
he is a total sweetheart of a guy.
Actually one of the sweetest guys we know!
Corey and I were so happy to see this great friend of ours again.

Check out his band:

Nate Ihara Promo

First I would love to share a little about Mr. Nate Ihara. Originally the lead singer of the band Welbilt, he has given us many many shout outs and words of thanks on stage at his shows and he also was so thoughtful to play our benefit show.
The benefit show was for Corey when he was injured from his fall back on 2006.
Little shout outs on stage and saying thank you may sound like such an unimportant thing to many of you, but to us it means the world.
As most of you know, our live show photos are all done in kindness. Needless to say, to be recognized in front of a crowd and after the show/shoot means everything to us.
We know we are appreciated for so much more than the photos at the end of the night.

Nate recently ventured on his own to persue a solo career.
Of course this meant new Promo photos, we were so happy to help out.
Thankfully we had a very nice day in Feb.
We called Nate the night before and asked if he could do the shoot this weekend since it would be such nice weather.....it's not very often we run across warm days in Feb. and it's not very often to run across clients who are ready to shoot the next day.
The shoot took place at a run down abandoned house in VA. pefect for the look we wanted!
Nate was fun and very easy to work with.
Normally our eyes have to be watching 4-5 people at a time....lighting, hands, poses, eyes, etc.
It was a nice change to relax a bit with a solo client.

Hope you enjoy his shots

You can find more in the Band Promo/Nate Ihara Gallery

And Please go listen to his new music!
My favorite new song is "Rainy Day" at:

A Mother's Birthday Gift

We kept trying to figure out a nice birthday gift for my Mom.

What better gift than a portrait session!!
She was very excited.

The session took place at her house with her new dog Bailey!
Bailey is one of the best dogs we have ever been around.
So well behaved and very much a ham for the camera! haha
The photos turned out really nice and I'm know we will all cherish them forever!!
